According to the latest report from Kelley Blue Book, Toyota and Lexus have secured the top honors for the 2026 Best Resale Value Awards. This marks the sixth consecutive year Toyota has been named the Best Resale Value Brand and the fifth consecutive year for Lexus as the Best Luxury Brand.

Depreciation is the highest cost: KBB notes that an average 2026 model-year vehicle will retain only about 45% of its original value after five years.
Top Performers: The vehicles in the "Top 10" list are projected to retain 55% or more of their original MSRP.
Brand Performance: Toyota boasts an average resale value of 53%, while Lexus averages 47%.
