A comprehensive study by iSeeCars analyzing over 395 million vehicles evaluated which car brands have the highest probability of reaching 250,000 miles or more.
Across all 33 included brands, a vehicle has an average 5.4% chance of reaching 250,000 miles. The top four spots are entirely held by Japanese manufacturers, significantly outperforming the industry average. Non-luxury brands hold a higher average chance (5.8%) of reaching the milestone compared to luxury brands (3.4%).

Lexus: 14.4% chance (2.7x the average)

Acura: 9.5% chance (1.8x the average)
GMC: 5.8% chance (1.1x the average - the highest-ranking non-Japanese brand)
Toyota (19.7%) and Honda (13.3%) lead by a wide margin. Following GMC (5.8%) at third, other mainstream volume brands include Mazda (5.3%), Ram (4.2%), and Ford (4.1%), while brands like FIAT and MINI sit at the bottom with near 0% probabilities.
Lexus leads the luxury segment comfortably at 14.4%, followed by Acura (9.5%), Lincoln (4.7%), and Cadillac (3.9%). The study notes that luxury brands generally have lower overall mileage probabilities because luxury cars are often driven fewer miles annually rather than due to a lack of intrinsic durability.
